SaaS Demand Validation with Reddit, X and Google Search Data

Before building a SaaS feature, use Sorit to find recurring user problems, existing workarounds and competing solutions. Turn public discussions into a customer interview plan.

For: Independent developers, solo founders and small product teams

SEND THIS TO YOUR AGENT

Use Sorit to validate a client-approval tool for small design agencies: find recurring frustrations and existing workarounds on Reddit and X, use Google search and autocomplete to discover alternatives and related questions, then propose an initial user segment, a narrow MVP and interview questions, with sources and unresolved assumptions.

Adapt the topic, market or brand

Define a user and a difficult moment

Instead of researching “a better project tool,” investigate how small design agencies get clients to approve deliverables. Name the role, the workflow and the moment something goes wrong. This keeps the research close to a product decision you can make.

Collect problems and current workarounds

Search Reddit and X for delayed approvals, conflicting feedback and lost versions. Read the surrounding discussion before classifying a post. Record the situation, the current workaround, the stated consequence and the original link. Deduplicate reposts and separate a person’s account of their work from promotional posts.

Use Google search to discover existing solutions and autocomplete to expand the vocabulary. Neither a suggestion nor a search result establishes demand volume.

Decide what deserves an interview

Group evidence by workflow rather than by requested feature. Does the same problem recur across independent discussions? Is there evidence of repeated effort or a costly workaround? Describe what the sample supports and where it is silent. Do not infer company size or budgets from a username.

Deliver an MVP hypothesis, not a verdict

Ask the agent for a problem table, an initial user segment and one narrow workflow worth testing. Compare manual alternatives as well as software. End with interview questions about frequency, impact, decision makers and switching costs. Validate willingness to pay with actual users before treating the idea as a business.
